This program is created with love and respect for Guinean culture and art, offering support and value to sustain the culture of dance and traditional music of Guinea!
Thanks to all our masters, teachers, and friends we learned from.
This project is comprised of 2 parts,

Workshops: we move through the history, context, music, dance and culture from various ethnic groups within the Manding regions of West Africa.

Performance: All workshop participants will together perform a piece of small-scale artwork at the end of the workshop.

WORKSHOPS
Target : Public who are interested in African Music and Drumming
Training increase the understanding of Africa culture and songs. Focus on rhythm, teamwork and techniques. Enjoy the fun of drumming.
2022 Workshop & Showcase Details

*Group 1 （SUN)
Venue: Tsuen Wan
WS 1 (Drum) : 6:00 - 7:00pm
WS 2 (Dance) : 7:00 - 8:00pm
*Group 2 （THUR)
Venue: Sheung Wan/Sai Wan
WS 3 (Drum) : 7:15 - 8:15pm
WS 4 (Dance) : 8:15 - 9:15pm
*You can choose either one option of drum class or pushing yourself through the drums plus the dance training challenge of 2-hour sessions!
Participants: Public who are interested in Traditional African Drums & Dance
* Participants with or without a dance or music background are welcome
